The Centre for Professional Skills Development on Public Health (CPSD) offers unique and innovative pedagogic methods such as:

- Interactive discussions, experiential learning exposures, community and facility visits, multi-media engagement, role-playing, and other forms of hands-on practical learning.
- Fundamental skill-based courses on monitoring and evaluation, and workshops on scientific writing skills.
- Critical courses on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies for improving the capacity of programme and project implementers

CPSD provides the opportunity to learn from experts across the fields through courses that are offered by the School in partnership with the Centres of Excellence, according to their areas of focus. The training programs have a diverse range of expert facilitators which include public health practitioners, medical professionals, anthropologists, health economists, ethnographers, statisticians, development practitioners, policy makers, program managers, and academics from well-established international institutions and national institutions. The training programs include a wide range of participants including government officials, medical doctors, senior health education officers, senior staff nurses, statisticians, NGO sector specialists, development practitioners, programme officers and managers, academics, researchers, activists, journalists and individuals from marginalized communities.
